Those hand carved wooden moulds were used to shape the traditional lunar festival treats, also called mooncakes.

They’re shaped with auspicious patterns inspired by nature, and are a living testimony of patience and craftsmanship.
Alix, our founder, inspired by this work of art, has chosen to hand customise the mooncakes moulds by adding a 2 tones painted decor to it, following the carved pattern of the wood. She then applied a transparent varnish to make it safe to use as a trinket.
