Hand-painted Guan Cai style ceramic stool

Stunning and very unique ceramic stool, dating back to the 1970s, hand painted in the HK New Territories by a skilled artisan, using the local Guan Cai technique. 

Each color shad had to be fired in the kiln separately, making this piece an extremely labour intensive gem.

This piece was a dead stock, it’s in an excellent condition.
